Meet Our Support Staff

Erik is the hospital administrator of Haywood Animal Hospital, but his job encompasses so much more, including client relations manager, staff manager and overall handyman. Before his introduction into veterinary medicine in 2018, Erik had a wide array of life and job experience.

Ashley was born and raised in Hattiesburg, MS and has spent over a decade in the veterinary field—a career that truly chose her. Her lifelong passion for animals has grown into a calling, and helping pets while supporting their owners brings her immense joy every day.

James has dedicated nearly 15 years to the veterinary field, driven by a deep passion for animal care and wellbeing. A proud cat parent to Penny and Tootie, he brings compassion and patience into every aspect of this life.

I grew up in West Virginia and attended West Virginia University, where I discovered my passion for veterinary medicine while working in several small clinics and hospitals.

Mia was born and raised in North Carolina, where she grew up surrounded by a variety of livestock and beloved pets, fostering her lifelong passion for animal care.

Summer's journey to Veterinary Medicine began in Central Florida and, unexpectedly, a love for The Ravenhood series led her, her son, and their seven dogs to Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Growing up on a family farm, I developed a strong work ethic and a lifelong love for animals. Caring for animals from a young age taught me patience, compassion, and responsibility--qualities I bring with me both personally and professionally.

From an early age, Hannah developed a strong love for animals. Growing up in her hometown in California, her passion for caring for animals led her to foster cats and kittens, giving her the opportunity to provide them with a safe and loving environment.
