Carissa

Carissa was born and raised in Brevard, NC.  She had a love for animals growing up and always knew she wanted to be a veterinary technician. 

After graduating high school with honors in 2006, Carissa went straight to college at AB Tech.  She graduated with honors and took both her national and state exams in 2008,  officially making her a Registered Veterinary Technician.  Carissa has been a veterinary technician for private practice ever since.  She joined the Haywood Animal Hospital team in February of 2021, where her love of animals continues to shine through her compassion for each and every furry patient.
