Veterinary Assistant
Summer's journey to Veterinary Medicine began in Central Florida and, unexpectedly, a love for The Ravenhood series led her, her son, and their seven dogs to Hendersonville, North Carolina. After initially pursuing Veterinary Medicine, Summer followed a passion for canine behavior, spending years helping fearful, reactive and misunderstood dogs feel safe. Now, she has come full circle and is returning to veterinary medicine with a goal of being the calm, compassionate assistant every pet remembers as safe. When she is not in scrubs, Summer enjoys hiking, audiobooks, and spending time outdoors with her pack. She is excited to be a part of the Haywood Animal Hospital family and looks forward to meeting you and your pets!
